The bass have been biting topwater baits very well. I've had several outings where we have thrown topwater all day long and smoked em'! Walking baits such a Heddon Zara Spooks and Lucky Craft Sammys are working best for me. A Dave's Tournament Tackle Buzzbait will put some good fish in the boat as well! It's a blue collar technique which means you are going to have to put the trolling motor down and cover some water. The bass are scattered on points, rocks, main lake banks, name your poison! They are not really relating to any specific type of cover. Clients have been catching lots of 12 to 16 pound limits and most trips are averaging 12 to 15 bites per outing. Not a bad deal for summer! If you don't like the "work" of topwater fishing there are lots of keeper bass that can't resist a Texas rigged worm located around points and docks.
Good Fishing,
Drew
